Nominations to serve on MCN Public Gaming Commission

OKMULGEE, Oklahoma — The Muscogee (Creek) Nation National Council held an Extraordinary Session June 26 at the Mound Building in Okmulgee.

Mvskoke Media requested audio from the session be placed on the Council’s website June 28. As of press time July 2, audio from the session was not available.

The Council considered the following legislation, the description of which is attributed to language in the bills:

TR 18-083 Confirming the nomination of Skye McNiel to serve on the MCN Public Gaming Commission. Rep. Joyce Deere sponsored the resolution, which passed 13-2, with Reps. Randall Hicks and Mark Randolph voting against it.

MCN Principal Chief James Floyd nominated McNiel, a Muscogee (Creek) citizen, for the position. The term will expire June 30, 2020.

TR 18-084 Confirming the nomination of Christopher Combs to serve on the MCN Public Gaming Commission. Deere sponsored the resolution, which passed 15-0.

Floyd nominated Combs, a Muscogee (Creek) citizen, for the position. The term will expire June 30, 2022.
