Supplement approves craps, roulette in MCN compact

OKMULGEE, Oklahoma — The Muscogee (Creek) Nation National Council held an Emergency Session June 20 at the Mound Building in Okmulgee.

Mvskoke Media requested audio from the session be placed on the Council’s website June 28. As of press time July 2, audio from the session was not available.

The Council considered the following legislation, the description of which is attributed to language in the bill:

TR 18-079 Authorizing a tribal gaming compact supplement between MCN and the State of Oklahoma. Rep. Robert Hufft sponsored the resolution, which passed 13-0.

Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin signed House Bill 3375 April 10 authorizing table games involving a wheel, ball or dice.

The legislation approves an amendment to the MCN compact to allow for games such as craps and roulette.

According to previous Mvskoke Media coverage, MCN Casinos CEO Pat Crofts estimated the games would be on casino floors in fall 2018.

Reps. Adam Jones and Thomasene Yahola Osborn were absent.
