OKMULGEE, Oklahoma — A Muscogee (Creek) Nation National Council Land, Natural Resources and Cultural Preservation Committee meeting was held Oct. 9 at the Mound Building in Okmulgee.

All legislation passed during the session will go before the full Council Oct. 27 for vote. Mvskoke Media will provide coverage of this session.

Audio from the session is available at: www.mcnnc.com.

LNC addressed the following legislation, the interpretation of which is attributed to language in the bills:

TR 18-119 Authorizing the principal chief to execute an exchange letter amendment for Indian Health Services Project OK 14-T77. Rep. Del Beaver sponsored the resolution, which passed 4-0.

MCN and IHS entered into a memorandum of agreement in 2015 regarding the installation of water supply and wastewater disposal facilities to serve homes in several counties throughout the jurisdiction. The exchange letter will allow an additional water main extension and water service lines to be installed under this project.

NCA 18-153 Authorizing an $8,929 appropriation to Covenant Harvest Ministries and Morning Star Evangelistic Center Church. Rep. Mark Randolph sponsored the amendment, which passed 4-0.

The churches are requesting financial assistance to attend the All Tribes D.C. Prayer event, Nov. 9. They are sending 35 people with 22 being Muscogee (Creek) citizens.
