OKMULGEE, Oklahoma — The Muscogee (Creek) Nation is suing the Indian Health Service for over $94 million in funding that was allegedly not paid to the tribe between 2006-2014. Mvskoke Media spoke with Principal Chief James Floyd and Secretary of Health Shawn Terry regarding the issue.

“In looking at the health deficit, we did uncover the fact that contract support costs for a number of years had not been adequately calculated or paid by the Indian Health Service,” Floyd said.
